I am a neurologist and coach for physicians. During my 25 years of practice, I have always tried to be an innovator. I initiated several major programs within the hospitals where I practiced, bringing some to national prominence. In addition, I have been privileged to serve on several peer review committees. This included chairing the hospital physician advocacy committee, which was tasked with handling disruptive physician behavior. My experience with physicians in this setting taught me important insights into what is troubling physicians in practice. Physician coaching became one approach to assisting physicians become more effective in not only their careers but also their personal lives. Seeing these changes first hand, I decided to obtain training in physician coaching. I have completed coaching training through Physician Coaching Institute and now offer these services to fellow physicians.
